Leeds suggestions (part two)

While I'm asking, what about curry houses? I'm a fan of the ethnic, chapati-driven type of curry. At least when I'm in curry's northern heartlands. Think of Nafees or Chakwal in the 1970's.

I can't really comment on the type but my favourite curry house in Leeds is Aagrah. Mumtaz comes second (but no alcohol) followed by Akbar's.

Or you could pop to Bradford for the day: curry and The Sparrow, maybe?

if you go to Akbar's say it is your birthday and they will bring out a giant nan with sparklers stuck in it.

Nawaab by the Train Station on Wellington street is decent and a little cheaper than Aagrah, Mumtaz and Akbar's.
If you're venturing out, Sheesh Mahal on Kirkstall road (ten minutes from city centure, near the vue cinema) has that 70's vibe you're looking for...
